Chirincoco Restaurant and Cafe

This tucked away cafe off the main street in San Agustinillo, Oaxaca is a must visit if your palate is craving deliciousness. Sophie, the owner, is a master artist in the kitchen. My go-to is the grilled cheese with tomato soup. Simple, comfort food packed with flavour and happiness! And the latte is great as well. Will go back again and again.

Very nice place It‘s a bit hidden which is nice because you don’t have any noise from the street. Great range of different food for breakfast or lunch like sweet and savory waffels, sourdough toasts, grilled cheese, salads and more. I didn’t have coffee but just judging by the way the coffee was made it looked like some real barista coffee . Also huge range of smoothies and other drinks like matcha or golden milk. The atmosphere is also super comfortable , lots of seating possibilities. Would definitely recommend :)

March 2023…The breakfasts and lunches here are fantastic and the coffee is very good! Sophia, the owner is a super nice person and all the staff is very good and do a great job. Check it out ... sweet or savoury, you cannot go wrong. :) Back again in March 2025 and the place is still wonderful for breakfast/brunch. The staff is super nice and the vibe is pretty mellow. It is definitely a favourite place in San Agustinillo.

Really nice place to have breakfast, coffee and some sort of delicious drinks! Super sweet place, staff is friendly open and food is super delicious. It does not only taste good, it’s also really sweet arranged on the plate.

It was my favorite place around Mazunte/ San Angustillo. Everything I tried was not only delicious, but also beautifully served. And great coffee too! Extra bonus - super cute house dog and kitten :)

Tucked away from the noise of the road, beautiful, tranquil, perfect little café that is a must if you are anywhere near San Augustinillo, Zipolite or Mazunte. The most welcoming place with delicious food. I’ve tried almost everything on their menu. The grilled cheese with tomato soup is incredible. The Chirrincoco smoothie is so refreshing and it always leaves me feeling so good and energized all day. Their happiness latte is one of a kind - you won’t find anything like that around here. The avocado toast, the pâté - I mean, my only problem is deciding what to order! Craving waffles? They have them too - truly a gem and a very much appreciated new café that offers unique tastes that are gourmet quality, in a relaxed atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and visit them for breakfast or lunch!

Chirincoco offers such delicious breakfast, lunch, & drinks. I’m a huge fan of their Grilled cheese and tomato soup, which is pretty surprising considering the fact that I hate tomatoes. I also just love their coffee, especially the iced latte, plus they have refreshing drinks as well. I ran into that place a couple of times before they opened and it was completely empty, but then I saw it again and I was blown away. It looks absolutely amazing, especially comparing it to the other times I stumbled upon it. The lady who owns it made it feel so cozy I just had to try their food and let me just tell you I was so happy with how everything tasted. She also speaks English, Spanish, and French which is really helpful especially if you’re a tourist. But anyways, they had amazing food and I rate it a 10/10, I absolutely recommend going there and having the same delightful experience!!

This place is incredible! I lived nearby for a few months and ate here regularly, frequently trying something new and always sooo happy with the food! The various grilled cheese sandwiches, the vegan grilled cheese, the dill! in the tomato soup! The goat cheese waffle, the vegan savory waffle, the salad, the French toast. Oh wow you cannot go wrong. The drinks are fabulous too! The people are so lovely as well! Incredible place.
